What was life like before 2nd Chance Project?
Life before 2nd Chance Project was good as I was in full time employment and had the career that I wanted within Leisure and Health and Fitness however was not yet achieving everything within my role. That's when 2nd Chance Project came in and helped me gain further qualifications in the Leisure industry which have and will help me massively in my career. I also gained my Zumba instructor qualification with my employer. 2nd Chance Project then supported me in using this qualification showing me how I can develop Zumba in the wider community which enabled me to use my qualification to my full advantage and I am now delivering Zumba in partnership with 2nd Chance Project and their community projects.

What was life like with 2nd Chance Project?
Life was very good while learning and gaining my qualifications with 2nd Chance Project. This has continued even though my programme has finished. They are still supporting and keeping me busy with Zumba classes. I always feel like I am progressing.

What are the plans for the future and how did 2nd Chance Project help?
My plans for the future is to do more classes within my local area for all age ranges and then to achieve more qualifications such as finish my gym instructors and to gain swim teachers qualification- 2nd Chance helped me with my future plans by looking at all my options and setting goals for when I could/can achieve my aims.

What would you say to other young people who were thinking about getting involved in the 2nd Chance Project?
Do it! It’s a great learning experience to be more involved within sport, health and fitness and leisure and the support you get isn’t just for the programme but helps you develop your career after as well.
